From Morning To Night

As mentioned in my previous blog Alistair and I were Mourne bound last Sunday.

In the morning, however, I made a stop at Castlewellan for sunrise. Truth be told I had a completely different shot in mind, but due to time constraints and a mountain biking event I decided to simply photograph the castle.

Then came sunset! With little cloud in the forecast we ventured to Lamagan — a mountain neither of us had climbed before. The walk itself is an enjoyable one, and the summit has lovely views of the surrounding hills.

Photographing the views, however, is a different story. For my shot I decided to shoot Ben Crom with my zoom lens and let it lead the viewer towards the final embers of the setting sun.

And as if this wasn't enough photography for one day (bearing in mind I also photographed Tollymore that morning) we set up camp at Buzzards Roost to shoot the stars!
